I cannot believe that Christmas is only a few short days away. We are planning on staying here for the holidays, just us three, so no travel planning is needing to be done. And the weather has been unusually "warm" - pushing 45 or 50 degrees during the day - HEAT WAVE! So no, it really doesn't feel a whole lot like Christmas this year. But we are still really excited to be able to spend the weekend at home with Rylie. My goal is to have the whole house clean (ha) by Friday so that we can spend the weekend relaxing by the fire (if it is cold enough for it!), sipping hot chocolate or coffee, watching movies (family nap times!), and just enjoying each other's company.
Christmas at Oma and PopPop's was delightful this past weekend! Rylie had a great time and was such a good girl - she napped and slept perfectly in the TravelLite crib we took with us. She had a great time playing with everyone, showing them all her new teeth, and just being a big ham for everyone! I love how she gives us shy little grins/giggles when we look at her and smile...she is just too stinkin' cute, if I do say so my self :-)
More on Rylie...today she discovered that she can push up on to her knees and feet when she is on her tummy, in addition to pushing all the way off the floor using her arms. Does this mean that crawling shall ensue at any moment?! I'm not ready for that :-/
