For those of you who keep asking for a belly photo...here ya go! Belly at 20 weeks and 2 days.

Our little secret...

We had a pretty fun and exciting weekend! Lots of shopping and baby planning... We decided that the drive back home from South Bend was as good a time as any to brainstorm baby names! After much deliberation, back-and-forthing, and sounding things out loud, we finally decided upon the perfect name for our little angel :). Actually, it wasn't too hard...we ended up picking a middle name that was thrown around from the very beginning and that we kept coming back to...and the first name just happened to pop into Chris' head about half way between South Bend, IN and Plainfield, IL and pretty much as soon as he said it and we combined it with the middle and last name, that was that! Unfortunatley for you, my readers, we are attempting to keep this our little secret until the birth :). Trust me, its killing me too!! I am just sooo excited, that it is taking everything I have to not let the cat out of the bag... Stay tuned, though, because you may just catch me slipping up one of these days :).

Sugar and spice and everything nice...

Well...it's gonna be a girl!! Our 20 week ultrasound was on Wednesday and the doctor says everything is looking great with our little girl :). Of course, i wanted so badly to rush out to the first store we could reach after leaving the doctor's office, but Chris had been hit by a wicked cold/flu and we ended up heading straight home. This weekend, however, I did get my fix :) We headed over to Connie and Roy's (Chris' parents) for the weekend. Shortly after lunch, Connie and I went straight out to the stores. Oldnavy, Target (pronounced tar-zjay), and Kohls... Sale racks are definitely our best friend! We managed to find some really great deals on some adorable baby girl clothing! I'm sorry, but boys clothing is just not as exciting...there is only so much dump trucks/tractors/trains that I can handle printed on various t-shirts/shorts/pants. (boring! Haha)... But Chris begs to differ on that front ("it's all awesome!"). It must be a guy thing.... Chris is also convinced our little girl will have nerf guns! Oh boy...looks like I better start coming up with hiding places and ways to protect myself!! I'm not exactly a nerf gun subscriber...I just don't get it :).
Okay, enough about boys...back to the adorable girl stuff! Next on our list to buy is some nursery furniture, bedding and decorations. Check out some of the things we (okay...so maybe it is mostly "me"...) like:
