Mom's Night Out...

Everyone needs a Mom's Night Out once in a while! It is so easy to get sucked in to the monotony of every day:

1) make sure baby is fed, dry, napped, and happy
2) try to shower when possible
3) eat...anything, when you get a free second
4) attempt to communicate with the outside world some how, be it via phone calls, emails, Facebook...

Sounds easy, right?! Wrong... Any mom knows that #1 is really the only one that gets done on a consistent basis (although keeping baby happy can be a gamble as well). Sometimes there are days that go by before we can shower and wash off the spit-up down our arms and in our hair...some days we are lucky if we can sneak a few crackers, or at least a cup of coffee to keep us going... And often times, we forget that a world even exists beyond the walls of our house (and it also seems the world forgets about us)...

So, we need Mom's Night Out! Well...Even then, sometimes, the shower doesn't happen...and it can be very difficult to find something to wear that doesn't have spit-up on it... But at least we get a nice, warm meal and some adult interaction (other adults really DO still exist!). And no dishes to clean :-)

The other great part about about MNO's (haha, even us moms know some hip lingo!), are the topics of conversation!! Especially the deep, dark, dirty secrets that only other moms would understand... Like:

You didn't think I'd really spill the beans, did you?! MNOs are a lot like the saying about Vegas... What happens/is said during an MNO, stays there!!

Damn, the baby just spat up on me...

When is the next MNO?!
